Zik Nwanganga's entrepreneurial journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Born in Aba, Abia State, a small, resource-limited town in Nigeria, Zik's passion for entrepreneurship and storytelling was ignited at a young age as he witnessed the resilience and creativity of his community.
Determined to make a difference, Zik pursued higher education, arriving in Kansas City in 2016 to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). It was during his time at UMKC that Zik's passion for community empowerment truly blossomed, as he immersed himself in various student organizations and honed his skills as a storyteller.
After graduating, Zik founded Fired Up Studios in 2022, a video production company dedicated to igniting entrepreneurial stories and promoting trailblazing innovators. But Zik had an even bigger vision in mind.
In 2023, Zik launched the "City Entrepreneur" docuseries, a project that showcases the stories and journeys of entrepreneurs making a difference in the Kansas City community. Through in-depth interviews, captivating visuals, and practical insights, City Entrepreneur aims to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs, provide guidance, and foster a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
"Growing up, I was captivated by the stories of local entrepreneurs who overcame obstacles and created opportunities for themselves," Zik shared. "Their determination and success inspired me to dream big and explore ways to make a positive impact."
Zik's vision for City Entrepreneur is to create a hub of inspiration and knowledge, where people can find the support and resources they need to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. "I want to empower others by sharing the stories of those who have already walked the path, demonstrating that with passion, determination, and the right mindset, anything is possible," he explained.
Zik's own entrepreneurial journey has been marked by both triumphs and challenges, but his unwavering commitment to storytelling and community empowerment has remained his driving force. Through City Entrepreneur, he hopes to ignite a spark within aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging them to take the leap and make their mark on the world.
